In August, 2010, Professor Ayad joined the University of East Anglia - London Campus, and established the London Academy of Diplomacy (LAD) where he introduced the following Masters Degrees:
- Internatinal Diplomacy
- International Business and Diplomacy
- International Security and Diplomacy
- International Communication and Diplomacy
- Translation, Interpreting and Diplomacy
In 2012, in recognition of contribution to international diplomatic training, Professor Ayad collected the Award of the Year 2012 from Diplomat Magazine reconizing the contribution of the Academy to diplomacy in London and beyond.
